Activation required on Google Fi. But can be transferred immediately to new service.

I activated the phone on Google Fi and cancelled the same day. I didn't use the Google Fi service at all and was charged nothing.I popped in my existing T-Mobile SIM card and have been using it on T-Mobile's network ever since without any problems.
I disagree. The screen is fantastic and it's no slouch. You're getting a really good phone even if this was double the price. The camera on this phone while not on the level of the iPhone or Pixel, is very solid. It's better than the camera on my flagship Moto Z2.
Liked the deal, read the thread, but didn't see a summary of key instructions. Here they are:

Happy holidays all and thanks OP for this deal!

How quickly can you cancel the Google Fi service, and how much will the service cost if you cancel right away?

No contracts, cancel anytime

This does appear to be rather slick!

Good deal for cheap, unlocked phone. Don't expect anything great for the price.

I purchased a Moto G7 through a similar Google Fi deal earlier this year and I activated and canceled the service the same day. Because I didn't use the service at all, I never had to pay anything for it.
