Woot![woot.com]has an assortment of Doorbuster deals everyday. Today Woot! is offering 70% off Shirts when you buy 2 or more shirts on https://shirt.woot.com/
Limited quantity deals are one thing, but instantly going from 70% off to 0% seems borderline bait and switch. How about, say, 50% off and actually keep it running for more than 1/2 hour...

Doorbusters of old were all like this - quantity of 50 or 100 or 200 insane deals for thousands of people trying to get it at the same time (back when more people were still going out to shop). It would p'off many customers who got items in cart and then had things disappear and the companies had a lot of complaints and conceded to customers on case by case basis. Feels like past 5-6 years there haven't been as many insane deals like that, but this BF may be a bit different. Assuming this was not announced ahead of time so regular users there could use.
I'm a bit p'od because I missed this because of the sign in to Amazon account and OTP code being sent to my cell phone and then being logged back out and needing to log back in again.
An unethical pro tip is if you are there at the beginning and code isn't working - just go ahead and place order. Contact CSR and ask to cancel as you thought code was applied at checkout. Maybe they apply it, maybe they don't.

I think it's a little different when it's a coupon that requires selecting items though. If it was just a $50 laptop or something and it said "sorry, sold out" it would be totally understandable and "oh well," but the vast majority of people who received the email from Woot containing an offer of 70% off with a link to click probably hadn't even clicked it before the deal was gone, let alone the folks who were notified through SD. Meanwhile, the Woot site gives no indication of what happened. The deal just silently isn't there, as if it never existed. The only reason I know for sure that really existed (and the only way I knew it was limited to 500, which isn't stated in their email) was that I'd clicked the Woot email in time to see the coupon code, but didn't add a couple shirts to my cart fast enough to actually be able to check out. That's obnoxious and wastes customer's time.

Agree with you there - it is a bit scummy. Try contacting CSR on webpage and copying/pasting what you said here.

Just finished selecting shirts and boom, gone.
500 uses isn't really much.
