Spec Sheet @ Lenovo [lenovo.com]

This would have been a great base for upgrading to a gaming PC, if not for one thing.

You might want to check out the specs for the power supply and the future upgrade options for the power supply before jumping on this unit.

This is a productivity / general use PC. Penniless gamers can look elsewhere.

Looks like it uses a non-standard TFX power supply. Largest officially available is 210W. Forum posts say a standard one might need an adapter to work with the Lenovo motherboard.

The machine comes with an Intel Optane 16GB SSD memory. The Optane memory's purpose or function is to act as a cache of all most commonly accessed files. It also comes with a 1TB 7200 RPM HDD. At that speed, the HDD alone can achieve about 100 mb/s (+/- 20mb/s) on READ speed. With Optane enabled, up to 1 GB/s (1000 mb/s) READ speed can be achieved. The achievement only applies to most commonly accessed files (e.g. files used to boot up or shut down the machine).

I've personally seen 960ish mb/s READ with Optane enabled & 120ish without via benchmark results on my research via Google. Hope that helps.

Buy this computer, but use coupon code 28372787 it will say to add an item 6839330 to your cart. When you buy the computer you get the luggage free. basically an extra $34 ish dollar value =)

If you want to upgrade this for gaming you will need to upgrade the power supply. 180 won't power a gaming unit or much beyond what is already in the box. The comment in the wiki suggests that upgrading this power supply may be a problem, though I don't know whether that references physical fit or some other issue that might come up with a third party unit.
