    There is a different version that has on board storage for music. Slightly thicker, I believe. The on board storage isn't all that big and is mainly useful for running or other situations where you don't have a phone for music.

    Garmin released newer versions: the Vivoactive 4 and Venu (AMOLED screen). This is a good price on the Vivoactive 3 though, still a capable watch.

    4GB, plenty enough for me to go through an hr of walk/jog with few audiobooks or more.
    Sometimes, I just don't want to carry my phone. So, it does make big difference (to me atleast).

    Bought this watch then returned it.

    Overall it was a good watch. The only things i didnt like was the washed out looking color (dim) and setting up the face to something I wanted (weather, high, low, current, time, date, caloires ....was a huge hassel and still coudlnt get it the way i wanted. You have to to download their app then their another app for their faces and scroll through the ALL.

    Not saying the watching isnt good by any means. but those two things made me return it.

    I bought one of these recently for $120 (after $20 first-timer Google Shopping code) to replace a Forerunner 35. It's a major upgrade, with the color screen and added features such a stress tracking. It's also smaller in size and looks much more elegant. Battery life is great, as well. I agree that it's not very simple to change watch faces, but it takes only a few minutes. I don't think you can do better for an activity-tracking watch at this price level.
