I own a few decent (but a bit lower priced than these) iem's and maybe 3 decent open backs.
i know of a few cheaper options with maybe 2-3 drivers.
how are those compared to these, seems like these are on the high side and if i remember the reviews that I've read/seen these models are not mentioned in most top iem reviews that I've seen
wish i could audition these and see for myself

i can't give you a specific answer because i have never worn these, but the performance to value of audiophile headphones drop significantly after about 200 dollars. maybe buy the W40 and never look forward to other headphones.

Damn these are tempting. My current pair is the 1More Triple Drivers. I assume these crush those? If I don't have an external DAC for my phone will these even be worth it?

if you do some research there's plenty of options below $10 that are significantly better than anything at a retail store.
