Don't let QLC scare you off. This drive is the best value and performance hands down. I paid more and I would again.
Perfect for that use. Your CPU or GPU will bottleneck before this drive does.
Techdeals did a pretty in depth analysis on this drive. For 95% of people in real world situations, this drive is more than enough, for the OS, for gaming, or even just for storage. This is the cheapest I have seen it, I saw the 1TB for about $80 but the lowest I've seen the 660p 2TB is about $176.

This good enough for a steam games library and other games outside of steam? Once games are installed I won't be writing to this drive again so QLC should not be a problem right? And if I also understand it correctly I should not notice a difference from day to day use compared to faster m.2 drives? Thanks for anyone's help in advance!

Thanks I was looking for an m.2 drive and this seems to be the best price for what I need it for. Just wonder it will go down any further for Black Friday anywhere else.

Just be careful, as with any QLC drive, once you reach close to it's capacity you'll start to notice performance degradation.

Should I use this as a boot drive over my current 500gb boot drive crucial ssd mx500 or just not worry about the process of duplicating everything and just use as secondary.

Nice! I was hoping to find this drive for ~$150 during BF, but since I'm not charged tax from Adorama this was close enough for me to pull the trigger. Thanks for posting! I'm part of the 95% for whom this drive will work just fine.

Best price I've seen! In for one.
I was going to buy two, but be aware there is a maximum of $60 off on the drives - so I bought one with the $40 off

Thanks!

Expired now but it will probably come up again. It's a great laptop really happy with it!
