You have to sit through a timeshare presentation.

Excellent deal actually in my opinion. You just have to have the ability to tell them you are not interested in the timeshare and that the only reason you came was for the actual free nights.
Simply tell them up front you have absolutely no intention of purchasing their offer. If they feel like wasting their time with the pitch then go for it, but if they want to spend time in front of someone who may take them up on their offer then that would be their better option.

I have taken advantage of deals like this at least 9 times. Only 1 time have they bothered to move forward with the whole pitch, other times they simply gave me what was offered and sent me on my way...

Absolutely. Just mention to them that in the time between purchasing that package and the trip you lost your job. So... since the trip was prepaid you were already committed to going but no longer have any extra money to commit to extra purchases. That's the line I've used.

I"m a Hilton Honors Diamond member for several years. I've taken advantage of different timeshare presentations though Hilton, Marriott and Wyndham. For me it's well worth the 2 hours that I sit though a presentation and say no at the end. While they do use aggressive sales techniques (oh my I'm getting the vapors!!), the promises made at the beginning are fulfilled by the large hotel chains. There are plenty of time share rip offs out there, but Hilton, Marriott, Sheraton, etc. are not among them. I'm staying in Vegas for free at the Trump hotel for four days. I was going out there anyway so why not get free lodging. I've never walked away from one of the major chain timeshare presentations feeling like I received less than what I was promised. The large hotel chains have too much invested in their regular client base to ruin it with timeshare hyjinx.

point is: no one realizes that nothing can change in those 2 hours. Your success is SOLELY determined in advance BY THE GIFT you NEGOTIATED IN ADVANCE. Nothing will change that gift at any point AFTER ARRIVAL TO PRESENTATION. If you haven't negotiated the highest gift possible in advance, you're as good as screwed. OP offer is NOT the highest gift possible

It would depend on the age of the gf.
