Lands End seems to be one of the worst offenders when it comes to price manipulation and "sale" pricing. They send out a 40% off email like every single day. I want to buy from them but can never tell if I'm getting a good price or just being manipulated, so I haven't bought anything there in a while. You would just have to consider what the price is and whether you want to pay that amount for the item, disregard the sale % since its basically meaningless.

LL Bean are the better thicker canvas bags and they have 50% once or twice a year.
Lands End does 50% often.
Side by side they are not comparable as the LL Bean bags stand tall and the Lands End just fall over easily.
The Lg Lands End bags do smoosh under the airplane seat if you need that.
