At $300 you might as well spend the extra $100 to the the better Dewalt sliding saw and much better rolling stand combo.
Maybe, but that's an extra $100 and I think its OOS. I've already jumped up $200 from the original purchase lol. I'm a little over my original plan of just using Harbor Freight tools.
This is a lot better deal. https://www.cpooutlets.com/dewalt...ws779.html You get the much better 779 saw with your choice of stand for $329. That blows away the current front page deal. PS that rolling stand is a POS.

Is that outlet saw new or reconditioned? Does look like much better deal with slider and better stand. CPO reputable?

The DeWalt sliding saw at CPO is new and with free stand that is a crazy price. CPO is reliable and ships fast. Well established company that has been around many years.

Awesome! Thanks. I got that deal and will cancel or return the homedepot one. Thanks!
I have that exact non rolling stand. It us very high quality, definitely contractor grade. With that said it is pretty heavy. I have wall brackets that is set it on horizontally to store it.The rolling stand is more convenient, but takes more floor space. With the non rolling stand it is not as easy and quick to setup but it can be stored without dedicated space on the floor.
In my opinion, it blows the rolling stand away. A lot sturdier with a lot of options you can add to it. You can add a wheel kit to it as well. It's definitely not the cheapest way to get a wheeled stand, but probably the best.
If you do buy this non-wheeled stand, you will probably be unhooking the saw from the stand to move it, which is easy to do, but not as nice as wheels/
