i5 is same price as costco bundle but costco comes with a pen. Honestly i can't say the pen is necessarily worthwhile (I ordered one so will probably talk about it in future surface deals once I've actually tried to use it) but at a minimum unless you dont have a costco membership I'd opt for the costco deal instead.
The surface go... that's tough because there was a 4gb with touch cover on sale for $400, so at $400 getting an 8gb model but no keyboard, that might be a fair trade but I dont know how usable that is without a touch cover, and you're talking about spending ~$500 on a pentium surface go. The i3 is $600 but it's 4gb not 8. Being smaller has its benefits but it may not be "small enough" to properly be worthwhile and the CPU may be significantly worse than the i3. I dont know enough about the laptops to say much about them.

They both have the pen included... advantage costco for the second year warranty included.
I just don't understand why they don't let you to choose the color of the pen and cover. Most of the bundle I see online just come with the black cover.
This absolutely change people's mind from buying and absolutely cost them nothing. Stupid Microsoft
Just bought the Costco deal for my wife - she wanted the pen because she uses onenote a lot... but if you don't need the pen, the micro center deal is pretty solid. Thanks for the tip

No problem I was about to get the Costco deal due to their exceptional warranty and service, but I've decided that the pen doesn't really matter to me. I'll just have to hope that Microsoft holds up to their standards of quality.

If you buy in-store they'll let you pick from other colors. I got mine in burgundy.
