iPad pro 11 is 468 grams. iPad air 3 is 456 grams for wifi, and 464 grams for LTE. I don't think 4 grams is much heavier.

I spend the whole weekend waiting for a meaningful price drop on the 256GB Wi-Fi model ($614.95 was lowest) and then the 256GB Wi-Fi + LTE model lands for $599. Awesome and thanks.

Not everybody can afford additional $200, plus not everybody needs the additional monthly payment for the lte, wifi at home is all they need.

The LTE doesn't require you keep it subscribed. It's just an option. And I believe it does also give the iPad GPS capabilities (not positive).

It does give GPS abilities. Checked the Apple spec comparison. I'm keeping the LTE off but it's a nice capability to have and future trade in value should be higher.

Sure, the same argument could be made for anything above $0. The LTE is useful to me as a Google Fi user, where I can request an additional SIM that connects to my existing mobile service (eliminating the need to tether). Also, GPS.
