Okay, I need to vent real quick. I know why...but still ask— why the crap would Bose create a new app and F over people who own say one of these SoundTouch units and a new 700 Soundbar!? Why!? Why must I have two damn Bose apps on my phone!? You'd think I'd be able to link both of these to the Bose Music app but no, I can't. Why you ask? Greed...it's greed. I'm not sure how it makes financial sense to develop and update 2 apps that do the same damn thing, but alas it's the Bose way. Instead they insist on pushing people towards upgrading something they've had for only a few years.

That being said, this is a very good speaker for the price and I've had mine for years.

I'm seriously considering this, but am wondering....what if something goes wrong within the first 30 days and I want to return it? How does Amazon handle open-box returns on electronics? I've looked through their return policy and they only address unopened items, and under electronics they only seem to refer to computers. Anyone know?

Love this speaker. I have six around the house. Shows up in Spotify, always stays connected to WiFi. Only thing I abhor is how you can't keep them grouped. Bose has been promising this feature for years. When I want to listen to a pair in Spotify, I have to select one then go to the soundtouch app to link them up every time.

unrelated topic, but maybe someone is kind enough to answer, does someone know how does this bose compare to marshall stanmore 2 in sound alone, I know they are different speakers, but if anyone have heard them and have any thoughts, I would love to know, stanmore is highly rated bluetooth speaker and is 199.99 at best buy and amazon. If anyone wants to know, it beats apple homepod in sound (in my opinion)

sounds amazing,

the rest of the feature that the others are talking about, i dont really use

but sounds amazing, also the speaker is smaller than you would think

I also have these speakers and the sound bar 300 and sub. The sound and functionality is fantastic.

However, the newer series that is out has airplay 2 while the SoundTouch series was supposed to get it... but still waiting. The newer series also has Alexa built in so you don't need a standalone amazon device.

I'm in for one though as they are fantastic speakers and work with the rest of my soundtouch setup!

Yes, on sale everywhere because there is a newer product suite out and they are not compatible with each other.
