Product Name: | 26 qt. High-Performance Cooler with Lockable Lid |
Product Description: | The Everbilt 26 qt. Cooler is designed for river trips, camping, and other outdoor activities. The durable roto-molded construction doesn't dent or crack easily and the High-Density Polyurethane Foam insulation keeps ice cold for 4-days to 7-days. The no-sweat design eliminates condensation on the outside of the cooler and the Rubber Pad non-slip feet keep the cooler secure in your vehicle or boat. An interlocking no-fall lid stays up when you're unloading the cooler and the carry handle folds away for easy packing in your truck or raft. A drain release is located at the base of the cooler so you can keep melted water out of the cooler and your food. |

From what I have read, the trick with these coolers -- if you want the ice to last a long time -- is to pre-chill them the night before (using some milk jugs of frozen water) prior to loading them up for deployment.

"Holds 30 cans and a small bag of ice max"
One Q&A asked how many bottles of beer and someone replied one case (although there are obviously different case sizes but I'm assuming he meant the standard 6-pack).
I bought 2. Yes the latches are hard to close, but if you pull down with one hand and use your palm to push it is not bad. I bet the rubber will stretch if you leave it closed.
this is a nice size cooler, I have a monoprice one which is twice this big, but I do not always need one so big, and this one will fit in the trunk of my convertible.
I also like the fact it has slots so that you can divide it with a plastic piece (which I will fabricate and it will serve double duty as a cutting board if I desire
I do not like the handle but it looks to be easily removable
Not true still showing $39 and change

My first impression was yes it screams quality. Everything seemed well built and felt solid and was heavy. I open it up and was very surprised at the small interior space for how big the overall dimensions.
I'm simply not that hardcore into coolers I guess. I might pick it up but we'll see. The standard non rotomold coolers have been good enough for me after prepping it and knowing how to pack it properly. I find packing and precooling the cooler makes a huge difference. I know many out there who get the most expensive cooler and my cheap one can outlast theirs simply by packing technique.

I agree that the interior seems small for such a big cooler.
I use mine in my RZR as I've mentioned before in this thread. I've finally gotten a chance to beat this thing up in the bed of my sxs on some harsh trails at high speed. I am opting to continue using this cooler and retire my new-ish Lifetime 28qt from Walmart. I feel this is more user-friendly, even though it takes two hands to use whereas the Lifetime can be opened and closed using just one. The strap down slots on the sides of this offer me quicker access to cinching down the cooler than my Lifetime. I also feel the quality and strength bests the Lifetime. YMMV.
