QA Edit: The price will vary by store stock, zip code or location. Price seems to only be valid if your store has it in stock. If you don't see the OP's $40 price, try another store in your area or another zip code.

The Everbilt 26 Qt. Cooler is designed for river trips, camping, and other outdoor activities. The High-Density Polyurethane Foam insulation keeps ice for 3 to 5-days, with a no-sweat design eliminating condensation on the outside of the cooler. It features Rubber Pad non-slip feet to keep the cooler secure in your vehicle or boat. An interlocking no-fall lid stays up when you're unloading the cooler and carry handles fold away for easy packing in truck or raft. For easy transportation, a stainless steel comfort grip handle is built-in. A drain release is located at the base of the cooler so you can keep melted water out of the cooler and your food.

Premium insulation keeps ice for up to 5 days
Lockable lid prevents animals from getting access to your food or adult beverages
UV resistant exterior designed for extensive outdoor use, wherever your adventures take you
T-handle latches keep the lid secure and provide a water tight seal
Rotomolded, seamless 1-piece construction makes this virtually unbreakable
Built-in pressure release button to allow air into the cooler so that it's easier to open
Internal dimensions in inches are 16.1 in. D x 9.1 in. H x 11.4 in. W

For anyone interested in information from the Manufacturer, they've responded to some people's Home Depot ratings with this information:"Please refer to the ice retention chart on the main product page of our item or listed under the info and guides section as a product brochure. As you can see, the type of ice you use and the temperature outside can change the ice retention time. For best results, we recommend using block ice and keeping the cooler out of direct sunlight."
You can also get dry ice from many Walmart locations. Call ahead to verify.

Doing the math on posted internal dimensions, this Everbilt appears to have about the same internal volume as the Yeti Tundra 35. That Yeti costs $250 and this Everbilt is $40; IMO there is no way the Yeti is 6 times better!

From what I have read, the trick with these coolers -- if you want the ice to last a long time -- is to pre-chill them the night before (using some milk jugs of frozen water) prior to loading them up for deployment.
about $200 cheaper but performs the same
Yeti is just Louis Vuitton for men. These are just as functional.

Thanks for the comparison. This Everbuilt is just not as compact as I would like....as the Yeti..but again, its also $100 cheaper.
Using the dimensions from my earlier post the Everbilt is actually a bit smaller. Its external volume is 5473 cubic inches while the Yeti is 5520 cubic inches. And this cooler is more like $200 cheaper than the Yeti.

As well, Everbilt or parent company didn't want to pay for any license stating "bear proof", but I'd imagine this one is more "bear proof" than the "bear proof" ones!!!
I agree. I can not see how this cooler isn't just as (or even more) bear-proof than the other ones I've seen that do have the official stickers/seals.

Bought a cooler for a gift for my Dad the other day and wanted to pick up another for my stepfather but, showing $78 if I select shipping or ship to store. Is the $40 still only good for in store pickup where there is existing stock?

Got one last week. The latches get easier for sure, even after 10 times. And honestly once you get the technique down it's not hard at all. Seriously, you just kind of pull down and in-toward the cooler and it kind of slips in.

In for 1. Does anyone know if there are baskets from other cooler brands that will fit these?

I'm curious too. Not a ton of mods from folks using this brand.

I bought two last week but most likely returning. They are really heavy and the rubber straps are impossible to secure .

I echo these sentiments. I finally picked mine up and was disappointed at how small the actual area is inside the cooler vs the total size it takes up. I found the latches to be way too difficult. These are both things that others had said in the comments that I figured would be fine but I'm not sure this thing is worth the hassles.

I picked one up as well - I echo these thoughts and would also add that the metal /plastic carrying handle feels like a complete afterthought - it doesn't match the overall build of the rest of the cooler.

My local store had 11 units last night but good thing I checked them out first because they are truly hard to latch.....no exaggeration!

2 of us from my station bought this, we both love them. Another guy at work said it seemed very close to his Yeti.

Definitely glad you posted this deal, ty.
