I watched a neighbor years ago take on his truck with no prior use of one of these. Every panel that had a raised edge he burned through the paint in spots. Too aggressive with pressure and you can do quite the damage to your paint.
I learned how to use one working at a new/used car dealer in HS and even then it took months of practice before they would let me do a used car for lot or even a customers in for doll up.
This polisher is good for polishing metal wheels etc. You can totally fck paint up with a rotary like this.

Agreed. Bought a bunch of Rupes stuff on Black Friday and they are some stout machines. The Griots G8 and G9 are a great beginner combo for not a whole lot of coin.
However, I do not see the extra $25 discount on Amazon.
