However, specific to Photo/ Video editing. Samsung TVs have an internal temperature sensitive white point balance.
Because LEDs change white points based on their temperature (between summer and winter, for example), The TV adjusts color channel peak outputs to preserve color temperature.
This is good for a TV, because most people wouldn't be able to do it on their own.
ON A PC, for Photo editing/ Video Editing, This is a HUGE PROBLEM, It makes the color channels erratic and unpredictable. Which means even if you try to calibrate this for color accuracy, the accuracy will still swing up and down, depending on what the internal sensor decides the white balance should be.
When I bought this TV, the delta-e of even a warmed up tv in a static temperature room was not stable enough for calibration, it simply will not hold a flat color response.
Samsung's 23/24hz modes also don't work for PC rgb 444, only 60hz 444 works. 23/24hz will drop to 422, this may be important for video cadence during edits.
I literally just bought this monitor yesterday, 12/10/19.
Manufacturing date also says Aug 2019.
Initial thoughts:
I bought this TV strictly for PC use/work, and it works great for that. I use multiple Excel sheets and Visio diagrams, so hence my purchase. I also need to have a browser and outlook open at the same time too. This 49" TV is the exact equivalent of (4)four 24" screens! I have measured and I also used a Dell U2419 to compare against. The curved screen is barely noticeable when I'm sitting about 30" away (my desk depth is 32"). The curve really helps you to see the edges of the the screen, although the edge does wash out a bit if sitting under 30" away.
You must enable HDMI 2.0 from the settings and you can set all HDMI ports for 2.0 (3 ports total).
-this is so you can get 4k @60hz, also make sure you have a good HDMI cable too.
I LOVE THIS SETUP!
It displays proper Chroma 4.4.4, so text is crisp and clear.
If you have been shopping around for a work monitor, buy this!
Trust me, I have looked AROUND. From 43" monitors to 55" TV'S.
AS A SMART TV:
I would not recommend this TV, if you are using it more for tv and streaming. It only has an old Wireless N card (802.11n) that only runs 2.4Ghz (NOT EVEN 5Ghz..SMH), which tops out at around 17Mbps download. I verified the speed using the built-in browser and going to speedtest. My router also only about 5 feet away.
When streaming Netflix, picture was good at times, and not so HD at times. When forwarding or rewinding, it definitely took a while to load too.
Depending on your purpose, this may be a great device.
I really hope this helps someone, as I have found almost no detailed reviews or specs on this model. Also per Samsung naming convention, the "N" in the model denotes a 2018 model even though it is still being manufactured in 2019.
Remember it's a Series 6, cheaper TV, and you'll be fine.

Wondering the same...
I highly doubt this has decent color accuracy for editing.
I have a 65, Me and the Mrs. absolutely love it... each is own. Count me in for another.
I have a much older version of this from 2015 and it makes a GREAT monitor. The curve lets you sit much closer than would otherwise be possible. The only flaw is that it's a bit large for FPS type games, it's awesome for any type of work or media consumption though.
Color accuracy seems as good as any other device I own, but it might not be ideal if you're aiming for professional level results as far as that goes.

It's a native 60 hertz panel
I was wondering the same thing
So this link can only be used on Dec 14th?? Not anytime sooner?
Usualy curved "TV" is like 10 feet out or something like of large.
For a monitor where you sit 2 feet away, a smaller radius would be better. (So things in the corner are aimed more towards you)
