Personally, after using alot of a6xxx series. A6400 is a better one imho. It technically has the A9 processor and much better menu.

6400 has no 5-axis stabilization.

Think that is a great price but I would rather have the 6400 too for the eye auto focus and subject tracking. Maybe if I was shooting video more I would care about the stabilization. I don't think the 6500's stabilization is that highly rated.
Anyway a great camera for a very good price.

This is the biggest factor that hinges on it being slick or not
From the YouTube videos I've seen, Fuji with their X-H1 and Panasonic blow Sony's IBIS away. I saw another comparison between Sony's IBIS vs OIS vs IBIS + OIS all on the a6500 but maybe their was an a6300 in the mix as well. To my eyes, OIS with no IBIS looked identical to IBIS only or IBIS with OIS. When I say OIS I'm referring to just the lens.
I think typically in DSLR, which A6500 competes with, the focus was on image, so IBIS was there to compensate for shake while taking a handheld image. Newer crop of cameras, did great in video but Sony never did upgrade. It still a great image camera IMO, not so much for videos.
BTW I think B&H deal is better, for $100 more, you get warranty and some extra accessories.
