    It's a nice step up from the K2 and/or the Challenger. I added two of these cheepie kayaks to my fleet of Aire and Saturn kayaks and after around 6 outings of swift river use here in N California, not one issue. It's the best entry level/budget inflatable I've found and it has spring valves (not the chepo Boston style), heavier material than the other two mentioned, has two skegs for deep or shallow water, air pressure valve that works, decent pump, well designed foot rest, ok seats, and two paddles that work well. This kayak is made from the same material as the Intex Mariner 3/4 so it's pretty durable. If you paddle solo, make sure to position your seat in the middle and then add 20+ pounds of weight to the front (dog, water, gear, etc) as that keeps the bow planted and giving one much better tracking. No complaints with this kayak. It's a very nice step up from the K2 or Challenger. Note: for size comparison, I'm 6-2/225 and if paddling tandem, the other person should be smaller. It's not meant for two clydes.laugh out loud

    I think the issue for many is that they: a) have no room to store a kayak. b) no vehicle to transport one. c) no strength to load on and off a vehicle d) a combination of those

    And some folks have these always in the car in case they come across an interesting place while they are taking a leisure drive.

    Wow - What a great price. I bought what I thought was a good deal for Cyber Monday, but this is even better. I did chat with Amazon and they will be making a price adjustment. They said it is automatic for items purchased on BF and CM. I will believe that when I see it. I have attached the chat if you also made that purchase. However, to be safe you might want to chat with them yourself. BTW - last year I purchased the C2 model and this is by far a much nicer, roomier with significantly better quality. At this price, don't even consider the lesser expensive models. Thanks for posting OP - Repped.

    In the summer of this year, we bought the Explorer K2 when it was around $63. We used it all summer and I was surprised how durable and fun it is. Since we have more than 2 people in our family, I always thought about trying the Excursion Pro, but at the normal above $200 price I thought it was too expensive. I kept it in my Amazon cart, and when I saw the price drop from $170 to $125 this morning, I jumped. I hope it's noticeably better than the K2. We shall see... I do recommend a electric pump, it takes maybe 2 minutes with it to get them inflated. With the manual pump, you will be exhausted once you are on the water.

    In my experience, the only time Intex brand products dip below their average sale price is when a new/refresh model is in the near future. Just wanted to point that out in case anyone interested may want to do some research before they purchase.

    Looking at the camelx3 chart, those items which have been around more than a year seem to always drop quite a bit right around this time in December also. Makes sense I suppose to push your inventory when sales are slow when it's cold in much of the country.

    I love how they say professional kayak! Never have I once seen a professional angler compete in a kayak tournament using an inflatable one. Think twice before you purchase! You can get a cheap plastic one that would last way longer, years Beyond gears, then an inflatable.
