EDIT information from Better.com!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello,
I work with Better, com and wanted to see if you could please add in the following information to your post on Amex/Better,com deal as it reads incorrect as it stands, especially regarding eligibility. We want to make sure the offer is stated as accurately as possible:
1) Mortgage rates of any specific customer, stated or otherwise, should not be taken as indicative of a mortgage rate available to all customers. Pricing is based on a number of factors, including the individual credit profile of a potential borrower.
2) The offer is only available to those borrowers who have been marketed to directly by American Express, and those who have not received the offer on their Amex portal or via email are not eligible.

You click the link in this thread. Once you are towards the end of the process you type in the last few digits into a form that is one of your last tasks with Better.
Huh, I never saw a place to enter any AMEX card digits, but the landing page at Better I used showed the AMEX logo in the lower left (and I took a screenshot) and multiple emails I've gotten from Better have mentioned the AMEX offer, including one from my "concierge" (lol) that explicitly reminded me about the $2500. The appraisal was also waived per the terms.

I locked my rate last night, so I'll give it a day or two and then reach out to my concierge to make sure I've been recorded as an AMEX customer and the promo is linked to my application.

I asked the question like 5-6 times throughout the process too. Each time they assured me I was good to go with Amex promo. It's right before closing that they ask you for the last digits of your Amex.

For some reason, when I click on the link, it goes to the German AMEX site vs US.

Refinanced down to 4.375% from 5.625%, 30 yr term, no points, no escrow, no closing costs, got rid of PMI, and $2500 Amex credit to boot. Loan amount was $140K. Will refi again once rates drop even further. Aiming for 2-3%, 20 year, no points, and no costs. Hopefully my score will be 760+ by then it's at 740ish or so right now.

Is Better pretty responsive?
I emailed to my representative a quote from other bank and he's not responding after asking for a quote.

Understand it's a pretty busy season but maybe I need to request if I can work with a different rep?

Was able to get better to beat the cost of 2.5% at Sofi on a 15 year. As I was working through the process, 2.375% showed up on my dashboard and all of the other discounts they had given remained. Locked that bad boy in, even though it'll cost me a bit, this is my forever home. Rates jumped again as I was on the phone with them, but they honored it anyways.

Refi'ed 20 years @ 3.250% apr with 2500 amex, 0 origination points and 667 lender credit. I walked away with basically 2500 in credit when it was all said and done. I'm going to be Refi again with sofi at 30 years @ 3.125% with 2667 lender credit. Does anyone know if rocket mortgage price match refi rates?

How did you walk away with 2500 in credit? How about third party closing costs? They are about $2500-3500 no matter what. Probably ended up even.

Every state is different. My hard costs for title, credit pull and recording fees was about $1300. I used a local title company to save 200-300. I ended up with a $1900 credit so I ended up with $600 extra. I didn't include prepaid interest or escrow in this figure since it's hard to call these loan origination costs.
