EDIT information from Better.com!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello,
I work with Better, com and wanted to see if you could please add in the following information to your post on Amex/Better,com deal as it reads incorrect as it stands, especially regarding eligibility. We want to make sure the offer is stated as accurately as possible:
1) Mortgage rates of any specific customer, stated or otherwise, should not be taken as indicative of a mortgage rate available to all customers. Pricing is based on a number of factors, including the individual credit profile of a potential borrower.
2) The offer is only available to those borrowers who have been marketed to directly by American Express, and those who have not received the offer on their Amex portal or via email are not eligible.

I'm in week 11 post funding, no credit. I've reached out several times about the credit and they keep saying everything is fine. They won't act until after the week 12 window I'm told.
thanks for the reply... how did some people get it under 4 weeks?! at least they said everything is fine...hope you get it soon!

Im supposed to close on 4/2. They said they will send someone to my house to physically sign the closing documents. I have not yet received any sort of final closing instructions or a confirmation of the date/time. How did you all physically pay the costs to close? Im hoping it can be done via bank wire transfer?

In response to my request to match SoFi, Better offered me 3.00 (APR is 3.025 vs SoFi at 2.939). This doesn't factor the $2,500 AMEX credit. If you factor in the credit and the waived appraisal, my total loan costs (part D) would net me $651

Did your SoFi loan estimate has 1495 origination fees? On rates screen it showed me interest rate and apr same but loan estimate I got has different apr due to origination fees

I have refinanced my house with Better last month. They will send you wiring instructions to pay the cash to close amount to the Title company(you are not paying cash to close amount to Better). A person will come to your house to sign all the paperwork and will ask for the proof of payment which you can get it from your online bank account if you wire the money online. I found out that wiring is not the only option but it was convenient for me. You can communicate with the Title company to see if there are any other payment options. Congratulations on your closing

I just checked the rate on Sofi and there's a 2.875 for 30 years fixed. Should I reach out to Better and refinance again with matching rate? I closed less than a month ago

Where do you see this information? I See the rate as 3.125 with no points.

Who did you price match against?

This doesn't seem possible, my lenders title insurance is $1925 by itself. I know I can shop for it but just a piece of the total closing cost, would love to get what you locked

For the people asking: The Amex promo details at the bottom of the offer page says to wait 8-12 weeks for the Amex credit.

Since Better does not require an appraisal, how long does it take to close from application?

Where did you read that? The appraisal fees is waived with this offer, but the appraisal requirement is not (unless there is some other reason they don't need one in a particular scenario).
