Notary and closing
Here is what you can expect or ask for from my experience:
1. New pen for signing wiped thoroughly
2. Pen stays with you after signing
3. Only material they will touch would be your ID
4. ID would be wiped and returned back
5. Can expect gloves to be worn
6. Signing can happen in your front yard or in your garage
7. If you have a Costco table then you can sit on either sides to maintain distancing
8. Masks might be recommended given new guidelines
9. Plus discuss with the notary!!

Can you give some details on your second refinance with Better? How much more were you able to lower your interest rate? Did you have to pay any points? Thanks!
Second Refinance - 30 year, 3.25%, 4.3K lender credit
Note for anyone else reading - this is only for properties in CA.
Or I need to go in person in the bank if it's open?

I probably not going to do that. Even though better.clom makes it easier for us because it's all online. We still talking about a lot of money involve here and a lot of processes just to get $2,500. For me, it's not worth the hassle and time. The only way I will consider this again if the actual rate is really down weather with $2500 promotion or not which I don't see it happening anytime soon.
GL and Ty for your response to my question.
im in california with a jumbo loan. i owe 560K. im 4 years into a 30 year fixed mortgage at 3.25% apr.
i am looking at a refi at 15 year. id consider 2.75% APR no points/no fees.
i have been keeping tabs this week. aim loan seemed to be 2.9 but i couldnt find better.
i would like to take advantage of this deal if possible but it has to make sense as i have a good rate currently.
Look at Owning's current offer, 15yr @ 2.75% and 30yr @ 3.375%. If you simply apply the monthly payment difference as additional payment to the later, you pretty much pay off the loan about 14.25 years earlier. Your 3.25% is very good for jumbo, you just need to make extra monthly payment if you really want to pay it off faster.
