EDIT information from Better.com!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello,
I work with Better, com and wanted to see if you could please add in the following information to your post on Amex/Better,com deal as it reads incorrect as it stands, especially regarding eligibility. We want to make sure the offer is stated as accurately as possible:
1) Mortgage rates of any specific customer, stated or otherwise, should not be taken as indicative of a mortgage rate available to all customers. Pricing is based on a number of factors, including the individual credit profile of a potential borrower.
2) The offer is only available to those borrowers who have been marketed to directly by American Express, and those who have not received the offer on their Amex portal or via email are not eligible.

I submitted my application on LenderFi, selected the 15Y 2.5% rate from a list of LenderFi purposed rates. But, all I got was only an Approval Letter. Can't find their Loan Estimate so far. I also uploaded all the To-Docs. (W2, mortgage statement, paystub, etc.) My question is, how do I get their Loan Estimate?
Maybe I didn't e-Sign yet? Seems can't multi-tasks nowadays!
When I click the agent's picture, it shows,
"Be rest assured that I received your loan application and am working on it. Give me 1-2 days to prepare your initial disclosures.
If you need anything from me in the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact me above.

From there, I could see the agent's name at the bottom and my "Initial Disclosures for Signature" at the top. Note, the email came from the assistant and not the loan officer himself.
Jumbo loan
April 22nd: Called/Emailed Better.com asking if they match/beat 2 other offers (3.25%)
April 28th: Locked at 3.25 with $1800 closing (Mostly prepaid items)
April/May 28th - 15th: inputted all info...

May 18th: Got 2 quotes from Quicken for 3% with $1500 closing costs. I sent this to Better.com and they were to update and match the 3% with $1500 closing costs on my May 20th sign off date.

Now awaiting my $2500 credit for profit of $1000!!

So, I guess it depends on the agent.

Also, LenderFi was able to waive my appraisal, that maybe a factor why my agent can send me the link without asking the payment first.

Cardinal Financial quoted me and they were actually competitive, even with their app/origination fees. However, because of the current market, they would not let me lock the rate until I a conditional approval. While I may not like that process that they won't rate lock until conditional approval, it isn't unreasonable.
The LenderFi agent refusing to provide a Loan Estimate to cyno as required by loan for all loan applications is shady. it means they classified you as getting a rate quote, but not submitting an application. LenderFi was not competitive for me (they wanted $6.5k in closing costs for a rate Better offered to do at $1,500 in closing costs), but if they were, such an action would have made me walk. There are other lenders out there.
