EDIT information from Better.com!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello,
I work with Better, com and wanted to see if you could please add in the following information to your post on Amex/Better,com deal as it reads incorrect as it stands, especially regarding eligibility. We want to make sure the offer is stated as accurately as possible:
1) Mortgage rates of any specific customer, stated or otherwise, should not be taken as indicative of a mortgage rate available to all customers. Pricing is based on a number of factors, including the individual credit profile of a potential borrower.
2) The offer is only available to those borrowers who have been marketed to directly by American Express, and those who have not received the offer on their Amex portal or via email are not eligible.

Hello, I too saw this deal only last night and have been trying to read the whole thread. Initial posts suggested anyone qualifies for this deal but the edit in the OP from better states that this is targeted.

So my question is, am I late to the party? The $2500 credit is valid only for invited card holders?

Thanks,
Your not late .... Just make sure to ask your Better Agent to make sure you got the AMEX deal ... Worst case, you can just backout but you can verify that on the early process.

Yeah keep in mind also that the Amex promo entitles you to an appraisal waiver too.
damn, really? I didn't see that benefit.

Go to the Amex website in the OP and you'll see it there. "Free appraisal with rush support"

Appraisal Fee waiver, not appraisal waiver. Very different things.

Got the competitor's LE on late 26th, sent it to the Processing Expert right away.
Processing Expert replied on 27th at 1:05 PM east time, said was going to review it.
I sent an email 28th 7:45 PM asking for an update from the Processing Expert.
Now, the processing expert replied that the Lock Desk said the competitor's LE is over 3 business days old!

What can I do? Thank you!

So I got funded 5/13 ....

Now I got this email

To keep your loan on track, I need you to complete Download and review the Post Consummation Closing Disclosure below. Then acknowledge that you received and understand the information..

There are 4 other tasks also waiting for you.

If you have any other questions feel free to reply here or give me a call.

Sincerely,

Is this a start of a nightmare?

I got this task right now. Do you know what is this for? It seems very uncommon atleast to others here ... My loan got funded on 5/13
No, this is normal for Better. My Closing Expert had already informed me to be ready for that and it is normal. It can take up to 60 days to get this, but was typically it is under 30. I haven't gotten mine yet (also closed 5/13), so I don't know what it looks like, but I'm sure once you read the attached PDF, it will make sense.

Ok my friend, thanks for the prompt response. Will give it a shot as nothing to lose except for a hard hit, which is okay right now. Have a wonderful weekend!!!

How is everyone uploading docs requested in the tasks now that all the stores are closed?

Locked a 2.25% with 2 points 15 yr on Monday. One of the other mortgage brokers I had spoken with earlier called and said he could do 2.125% today with the same point cost. Will better still match after you rate lock?
Would you be willing to share your broker's information? I would like to check too. Thanks!

I see .... I compare this PCCD to my previous final disclosure and I didn't the difference. So hopefully everything is good.

There is no hard hit on better initially until you are locking the rate. So it's soft credit check only

Correct, Although I think most of us here got the actual appraisal waiver too. It depends on the Appraisal Value you inputted. If it's within the value they have on the system. In my case they checked in on Fannie Mae and played around the numbers until we find the value that will NOT require an actual appraisal.

Most of the docs and electronic signature but there will be some that you need to print and sign.

I'm not sure I quite understand. I think you are asking about uploading asset documents (bank and/or brokerage accounts), paystubs, etc.

If so, I already had all those in PDF form from getting them from my online accounts with each institution, so I simply uploaded the PDFs.

Does that answer your question?

I had a couple of tasks that requires wet-signature ... so I have to print and sign it. It could be just me because it was about the SSS verification task. I think that's what he is talking about.
