EDIT information from Better.com!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello,
I work with Better, com and wanted to see if you could please add in the following information to your post on Amex/Better,com deal as it reads incorrect as it stands, especially regarding eligibility. We want to make sure the offer is stated as accurately as possible:
1) Mortgage rates of any specific customer, stated or otherwise, should not be taken as indicative of a mortgage rate available to all customers. Pricing is based on a number of factors, including the individual credit profile of a potential borrower.
2) The offer is only available to those borrowers who have been marketed to directly by American Express, and those who have not received the offer on their Amex portal or via email are not eligible.

Can anyone please help - do we lock with better before price matching or ask for price match and then lock or it doesn't matter.
Btw my better dedicated concierge hardly responds or is reachable, is it okay to call and speak to another loan agent.
Get a price match before locking. Then after locking, do another match if you can manage it. Do not lock until you have at least one price match.

I had been moving along the process with better In Underwriting. I submitted a Le from loan cabin yesterday around noon and my processing agent said she would get me a answer shortly, I still haven't heard anything back. Are they now going to try and hide behind the "le dated within 1 day"? Is there anyone I can call to get it reviewed.

Sorry if this has been answered before. I quick searched without an answer.

Any lenders willing to provide an Loan Estimate without providing your social security number?
Both Loan Cabina and Watermark are asking for SS#
I already locked the rate at Better but it doesn't look as great as some stated here.
Welcome to the thread. If you read back through some old postings, there is lots of good information.

to answer the question - give them your SS. and do it for many other lenders as well

Did anyone provide credit card # to better.com to get the $2500 credit? I was told that it would be automatically credited to amex credit card linked to my ssn.

Yeah I am Go birds! If you haven't already for title charges look at radian. They saved me like $1000.
Can you link to radian? Can everything be done online with them?

The answer I have read here multiple times is better will have a task asking for you the last 5 digits of your card, and name. Same with mine.

If you read the first post, it has the rules for the AMEX promo including clicking through to get the deal. You might want to ask your contact at Better if they have that in the records.

I contacted them after waiting a couple months after I closed on my loan and they told me to contact AMEX, not feeling so sure rn. Also, my experience with them throughout the process was not good so I dont trust them to do the right thing here tbh.

what do you guys think

2.75% - $3250 in credits
vs
2.625 - $100 pts

Closing costs will be about $1500 (no appraisal needed). kind of leaning towards the credit due to the breakeven lower rate only save 14$/month and break even is like 10 years + i think.

Better told me they don't match 2.625% since "they don't have that rate".

in the last step before closing, in the same system where you upload the other docs, there's a section for the last 5 digits of your amex card. From there, not sure what happens...since I just closed today Smilie

Recently locked with WM- 20yr @2.875 and 4550 back. That covered the 3500 costs (origination+title+tax+fees). So, basically got back about 1k (not cash back...applied towards principal)

Did they cover Title, Taxes and Escrows? The person I was talking to said only A+B+C which is basically just the Title part on the coverage.
