EDIT information from Better.com!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello,
I work with Better, com and wanted to see if you could please add in the following information to your post on Amex/Better,com deal as it reads incorrect as it stands, especially regarding eligibility. We want to make sure the offer is stated as accurately as possible:
1) Mortgage rates of any specific customer, stated or otherwise, should not be taken as indicative of a mortgage rate available to all customers. Pricing is based on a number of factors, including the individual credit profile of a potential borrower.
2) The offer is only available to those borrowers who have been marketed to directly by American Express, and those who have not received the offer on their Amex portal or via email are not eligible.

WM called me after applying on their website. Quoted 2.5 for 30YR with ~1000$ credit. approx 3300 in costs with loan fee before credit.

Also similar quote from LC except there is no loan fee. So ~1000 in credit with 2500 in costs for title, appraisal etc

What is this 3 day rule that you are talking about? Could you please elaborate?
Basically the lender has to give you a LE if you provide SSN (and other criteria) and they pull credit. Unless you are denied.

Hello Everyone, I wanted to share my loan estimate and experience with Loancabin.com.

I have a $405,000 loan amount and we have 10% equity in our home. My credit is excellent, single family home in California and we are doing a rate and term refinance. They took a few days to get back to us on the application but I reached out at [email protected] and I got a response the same day. Below is the offer:

2.49% 30 Year Fixed with a $2750.00 credit towards closing cost or
2.375% with a discount charge for the rate of $4933.00.

We went with the 2.49% being it made most sense. They by far had the best rates between better. com and lender fi.

Legally they are obligated to send you an estimate within 3 business days of request

Thanks!

I am looking at CIT banks website and the rates they advertise looks like joke.

I see then showing 15 year fixed standard at 4.187% and 30 year fixed standard at 4.125%.

Weird.

Anyone knows how long Better takes to update title company to Radian and issue a new LE?

Also, what has CIT Bank's turnaround time been to comeback with the official loan estimate?

I emailed Better and the Title company the day I asked them to use Radian. I checked 1 week later with Radian (via email) and they confirmed that the Order was placed the same day the above happened.

8 days later the title process updated to reflect title received and 10th day LE updated to reflect my charges from 2200 to 14xx.

Just called them. The guy told me they are not interested in servicing smaller loan amount like mine ($170K) as they are at full capacity and hence discouraging customers from applying by quoting higher interest rates. The guy gave me a 3% for a 15 year.
