What's the benefit of using ammonia free? And in your case, for you're car? Just wondering
Best of luck for everyone else, but unless this is separate I would say buyer beware.
Ammonia strips a lot of coatings off of glass.
For instance, my glass shower doors have a coating to minimize spotting that ammonia would remove. Similar to most cell phones have a coating on their glass.
Regular windex can result in the tint peeling off.

However, that same trait is also a problem - on cars with tinted windows, the ammonia will attack both the tint and the adhesive itself. This is how cars end up having premature adhesive failure - that ugly bubbled tint and tint peeling up in the corners. Concentrated ammonia is used to remove car tint.
