I think with cast Iron seasoning properly is the main thing. I have both lodge and victoria 12'. The lodge is solid and heavy and has been well seasoned. I like Victoria for its light weight, long handle and it does seem to heat up faster. The only thing is the seasoning has not set like lodge and therefore it needs to be seasoned more. But once seasoned you can't go wrong with either.
Victoria is made in Colombia. They've been making cast iron for a long time and are the manufacturers of the old classic cast iron tortilla press.

Thanks. That's helpful. Just don't want cast iron from China.

There was a deal from Wal-Mart recently on a 3 piece set. Can anyone suggest how does this compare in quality with that? I ordered that but can buy this and cancel that if this is better quality.

I have one of each. They perform identically. The Victoria has a much nicer handle.

Bought this when it posted as a slickdeal for $13 a couple weeks ago. It's $3 but, ya know, I'm a slickdealer ☺️
