i'm going to drop off my corded and old school roomba for donation this week.

i've already changed the way i vacuum with the dyson. instead of thinking whole house vacuum fest, i just do 1 room/area as needed but with much more frequency,
i tend to grab the dyson from the charger and quickly vacuum up something off a desk/counter a couple of times a day and every other day i run over the kitchen floor (tile) with then fluffy head. so 30-40 mins of run time (much less on high suction mode) isnt enough for me to do the whole house, i dont go the whole house in 1 go anymore.

When the price of these were $200 and the V8 is at $250, I spent the extra $50 for the slightly longer run time.
This vac is good in comparison. About the same performance, however it weighs slightly less and runtime is 10 mins less than the V8 at 30min (V8 is 40min).
Now that its a difference of $60, I probably would have gotten this. Now I'm debating weather I should return the V8 and buy this or not. That's annoying.

good price. i would have considered this over the v8 absolute to save $60. my only hesitation is the battery run time of the v8 is already pretty low and the v7 drops it further.

Yeah, the soft roller attachment itself is at least $100.

Dyson had the same promotion last year at this time. Passed on it then, but will pull the trigger this time! Haven't seen it lower than this price since.

What accessories do you guys recommend?

Me too. Serves me right for buying things before the holiday season. The fluffy has been great, and I have mostly hardwood floors and tile, but it would be really nice to have the motorhead for the few area rugs that we have.

The only kit I see available is the "Clean & Organize Kit". Is this true for everyone else?

Remember that the v8 also has a HEPA filter while only one model of the V7 does.
