this is becoming an insanely good deal. it was a good deal at 399, better at 349. and now 299? it's one of those slickdeals i'm tempted to buy even though i dont need it!
I am sure if you wait even more till 2021 or better 2022 BF, there will be even better electronics. 😛
Review for the laptop [notebookcheck.net]

Seems to be 2 M.2 slots and 1 DDR4.

Quit asking others and enlighten yourself man. There's a search bar for a reason. Either there is/was a better deal or there isn't.
Holy cow. Talk about someone jumping onto the conversation without understanding what it is all about... LOL!

I already mentioned that, IMHO, this is the best pre/post thanksgiving deal to hit SD and the guy who responded said there were several, which I couldn't find as I have been monitoring like a hawk for the past couple of weeks or so.

Motile...sounds very familiar to when they described the quality of my semen when trying to conceive.
Your seed (semen) is worth more than gold!!! Be careful who you let have it. It is your most valued possession. It will create your legacy or if you let it your downfall! Speaking from experience.

Wow this keeps dropping in price. Very nice specs ips.screen for under $300!
Is it IPS, is there a source that confirms?

What's the battery life on this thing? And what's the OS windows 10? I just want to make sure I'll be able to have the most updated version of chrome to play Stadia.

Anyone know how much the power adapter weighs? As complete as that notebookcheck.net review is that's one bit of info it's lacking, and kind of crucial since this laptop doesn't allow USB-C charging.
very light, comparable to any compact 14 in power brick. Power Supply: 200 g ( = 7.05 oz / 0.44 pounds See post https://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=133263374&postcount=158

but i don't like the design of plug built into the brick. not good for use on plane. also the wire is not that long. i might spring for another adapter.

Review link says, "Plastic".

https://www.notebookcheck.net/Wal...260.0.html

Def NOT plastic. I have been using this laptop for a few weeks. It's magnesium or some kind of light weight metal(pretty cold to the touch) with ZERO FLEX. This laptop feels super solid and perhaps the most solid laptop I have ever held at this weight.

The ryzen 3, 4GB/128GB storage option is 229 as well, if money is tight, although IMO the value is not as good. Also a pretty insane price.

Wish somebody had a YT review on it. I almost want to buy it, review it on my crappy channel, and return it LOL. Speaking of return bans.

Since you already used the Ryzen 3 version of this laptop, can you tell us how's the screen brightness and overall experience & build quality? What sort of performance we can expect?

I do like the one posted on this deal but my only gripe is RAM is single channel which limits the performance.
Screen brightness is in line with it's spec of 250 nits...mostly OK for indoor use, but it's not really that bright. It is IPS and I'd say as good as anything you'd get at this price - certainly better than any TN I've seen.

Build quality is quite good. I actually opened it up to add RAM and storage and swap the WiFi card, and the material doesn't seem like it's plastic. I don't know why people complain about lid flex, it seems normal to me. Also easy to open, with only 6 screws.

Overall, performance is pretty good. With 8gb of ram (6gb usable, 2gb reserved for graphics which you can't change), it handles web browsing and productivity apps just fine. Haven't had a chance to do gaming on it yet.

Given the $70 price difference, I think the ryzen 5 version is worth it over the ryzen 3 version.

CPU is a lot faster. also this is a 14 inch form factor so more compact and weigh over 1 puond less. The lenovo does have dual channel ram but it's intel so the video is still slower than this.
