I already mentioned that, IMHO, this is the best pre/post thanksgiving deal to hit SD and the guy who responded said there were several, which I couldn't find as I have been monitoring like a hawk for the past couple of weeks or so.

The slickdeal curse!
but i don't like the design of plug built into the brick. not good for use on plane. also the wire is not that long. i might spring for another adapter.

Def NOT plastic. I have been using this laptop for a few weeks. It's magnesium or some kind of light weight metal(pretty cold to the touch) with ZERO FLEX. This laptop feels super solid and perhaps the most solid laptop I have ever held at this weight.
Wish somebody had a YT review on it. I almost want to buy it, review it on my crappy channel, and return it LOL. Speaking of return bans.
I do like the one posted on this deal but my only gripe is RAM is single channel which limits the performance.
Build quality is quite good. I actually opened it up to add RAM and storage and swap the WiFi card, and the material doesn't seem like it's plastic. I don't know why people complain about lid flex, it seems normal to me. Also easy to open, with only 6 screws.
Overall, performance is pretty good. With 8gb of ram (6gb usable, 2gb reserved for graphics which you can't change), it handles web browsing and productivity apps just fine. Haven't had a chance to do gaming on it yet.
Given the $70 price difference, I think the ryzen 5 version is worth it over the ryzen 3 version.
