I just bought a laptop that has 8gb... I watched benchmarks closely.. i put in another 8gb ram... guess what? SAME EXACT FPS. MOST GAMES TODAY DONT NEED MORE THAN 8GB RAM, unless its star citizen or you have chrome with 20 tabs open at the same time.
THIS WILL PLAY DIABLO 3 NO PROBLEM, jesus christ people stop.

will this laptop support 2666?
Black and silver are fairly standard if you've seen electronics in these colors before, and rose gold really is more of a powdery metallic light pink. The rose gold also only shows up on the upper half outside and inner bezel; per the photos, the keyboard area and bottom are silver. The black and silver are single tone all over.
Anodized coatings can be worn away with use, usually showing up on the edges first (top lid, but also the bottom half bottom edge area where palms rub up, especially if you wear watches or bracelets), but if you store it in a sleeve or its own pocket in a bag a good laptop coating should last years before showing wear. Anodized wear can give a rugged look though, so don't worry about it if you don't mind "battle damage", and consider black to highlight any wear that shows up (the alloy body is a gray color when exposed).
Bezel color might also factor in; high contrast between bezel and the usual use environment, or bezel and the screen, may feel more utilitarian and focus-enhancing (it's easier to identify and separate you computing desktop from the rest of the world), while low contrast across screen-bezel-environment may be more relaxing as the screen's dominant color blends into the bezel, blending into the environment. You'd have to factor in your usual room colors and background theme though. You may also not notice it if you've never done side-by-side comparisons, or if your screen is usally much brighter than the environment.

uhh, you were planning on gaming with this?
and hope you're planning to spend more than 300!
also cant you add a second stick of ram to make it dual channel?
will this laptop support 2666?
2166, 2400, 2666 will likely all work with minimal difference. As they were saying due to a lot more throttling on the laptop cpu compared to desktop, the speed difference likely will be less than that of the desktop ryzen cpu.
If you care about dual channel on this laptop you're in the wrong price bracket.
The gaming you can do on a Ryzen 5 3500U is pretty limited regardless. I bought one (huawei matebook D) for my brother. Although yes you can do some. It will barely run Destiny at 30 FPS for example, settings as low as possible. You aren't really going to get current 3D gaming out of it. Maybe stuff like Rocket League. Not stuff like Assassin's Creed. And you could probably do most of that on single channel too. That's my point. The band of gaming that dual vs single Ryzen matters to is pretty narrow, kind of stupid to worry about it. It's not much for gaming WITH dual channel.
And again, cant you add a stick of ram and make it dual channel if it's so important? I honestly dont know but I'm guessing. Granted that adds some to the cost.
If you want better, spend more! This a great out the door deal for 300.
And again, isn't this "thin n light" ethos? why would you try to make a thin and light device into a gaming device in the first place? Thermals and heat anyone?
Do you work for lenovo or something?
Anybody else having this problem?
