To get back to factory settings do NOT keep your files and settings.

Once the reset is complete do NOT reboot the computer. That's when you do the disk image. There's a lot of programs that can do that - Macrium Reflect Free is my app of choice but some like Clonezilla Live that works out of the box with any computer.
Serious question: What are the advantages compared to the recovery drive creation tool from the Windows Admin Tools section of the Start Menu? (Assuming this is the first task done on the first boot after only creating a local Windows account, prior to any network connectivity.)

I think i figured out the unstable hdmi output problem. It was most likely due to a defective hdmi port on the other one. I notice feeling more snug fit plugin in the same old hdmi cable into the new motile port compared to old one. So far, i haven't got any blacking out or flickering with the new one.

I still got to more thoroughly test the new one but so far the hdmi problem seems fixed..

Guess that's what happened when you use cheap components?

It probably needs different bluetooth drivers. You should be able to get it from the new Wi-Fi's card manufacturer website. Hope this helps.

I made the mistake of asking my wife to help split it with me for Christmas after she had already gotten me something so she paid half so I've been having to wait 2 weeks now. Super excited to use it for Stadia at work for some Destiny time on the go

My main concern is battery life, I set power option to battery saver mode with brightness set to medium., still fully charged laptop barely lasts 3.5 - 4 hours, this is with no or minimal video playback.
Other than that the form factor and weight together with specs are real good, would be interesting what others are seeing in battery performance.

chrome browser are known to use more power. I use mpc-hc and it uses 9% of battery for every 30 min of video or just a little over 5 hr at minimal brightness.

Mine does the same thing and in hasn't done it in Basic Fan Mode. It may be over heating.

My computer starts in Silent Mode by default.

I've got both R5 and R3, zero issues so far. Fantastic value! It seems from multiple reports of black screens though that Motile QC is poor and there are some lemons out there. Try to exchange, not return, if possible.
