this is becoming an insanely good deal. it was a good deal at 399, better at 349. and now 299? it's one of those slickdeals i'm tempted to buy even though i dont need it!
I am sure if you wait even more till 2021 or better 2022 BF, there will be even better electronics. 😛
Review for the laptop [notebookcheck.net]

Seems to be 2 M.2 slots and 1 DDR4.

It sleeps but wakes up with pressure on the lid which pushes a key.
You can tell it's ok sleep cause the power button will slow blink you can see it ok the backside. After waking it's steady light.

Use hibernate on lid close instead or try putting a thin silicone cabinet bumper on the lid to keep a bit of space between screen and keyboard.
Yea I have heard about that a little pressure on the top makes the screen touch the keys. However, I don't put any pressure at all. It's just on my table, and I close the lid and then go and do some work, and come back 15 minutes later, open the lid and it's still on. Any directions on how to put a silicone cabinet bumper as you mentioned?

Two issues after a clean Windows 10 install
1. How do I reinstall THX Spatial Audio?
2. I reinstalled Sound Blaster Connect and the only functions that work are the selector for head phones/ speakers and the slider for volume control. I was able to unmute the speaker only once,

This seems to have additional stuffs that is not included on Motile site"

I believe what I need to do is install the Media and SoftwareComponent drivers from this set of drivers.

In Device Manager I only have the Realtek drivers under SoftwareComponents,
I do not have a MEDIA folder.

I made an image prior to doing the clean install I can use if needed.

I restored my image, but I still do not have the Creative Audio Effects Component or the Media folder so the Sound Blaster Connect program I downloaded doesn't work. My sound volume is very poor.
Maybe Motile Support will send me the software.
At least I don't have the frequent gray screen issue I had with the last M-142.

I had several issues with the clean install so I restored with the factory installation.

What are all the specific issues you had with clean install? did you use the latest drivers directly from amd after the clean install as well as running the windows update after install?

Anyone have the rubber "feet" (2 long rubber stripes on the bottom) peel off? What would be a good glue to reattach them reliably? Mine started peeling off after less than 2 months of use. The glue that was originally there resembles the sticky stretchy stuff that is typically used to attach credit card to paper when you receive a new card in the mail, not strong at all.

Has anyone noticed that the backlight does not turn on sometimes when waking it up? I can see the windows login screen very dimly. fn+F11 or F12 don't seem to do anything. Pressing power will sleep it again but when it wakes up the backlight is still off. I need to hold power to shut it off and turn it on again to get the backlight to work again.
I'm still on the original BIOS. I see 1.06 seems to be on the Motile site now. I did not get the bios update pop up. Does the newer BIOS fix this? I did not want to mess with the model number getting reset to M141 and losing the TPM.

I assume you are already using the latest chipset and graphic driver directly from amd and not from motile website? how long has this happened? are you on the original windows installation or clean install>

I cannot use my nvme in slot 1 (originally occupied slot), bios wont even recognize it. Anyone have any clues why? I can use it in slot 2.

Everything is fully updated via windows update. So it did install some updated AMD stuff.
I noticed the problem in the last three days. The month before was fine.
