I have both the OXO magnetic measuring cups and spoons and do not recommend them. The tiny magnet can fall out, which leaves you wondering - did it end up in food, or in the dishwasher grinder, or what?

Also, spoons that are too large to slide into a utensil slot in the dishwasher tend to, well, spoon in the utensil basket, preventing them from being cleaned effectively.

The magnetic concept sounded cool, but isn't practical. It doesn't make storage any easier. They'd be less fussy and totally good utensils if they didn't have the magnet.

Too bad the small spoon set only includes 4 spoons. It's nice to have more sizes. Going for a different set instead

I paid this exact price on Black Friday for the sake of comparison and I am happy with the quality and functionality. (This replaced a low priced plastic set for context.)

You'll get what you pay for. It's cheaply made.

I've had the spoons for 2 years and have never had either an issue with the magnets or cleaning them in the dishwasher. they've been great, and I just bought this set as well to have another as well as the measuring cups

Cook's Country listed OXO measuring cups as the best, so we bought this set a few weeks ago for the same price at Costco. We love it. Easy to level ingredients because it's all one piece. Also teaspoon fits in most spice jars unlike my last set.

Great post!

See the last thread about these... IF you can get the one's at Costco (if they still have them) - better product, more sizes, and cheaper than this.

The set I got there I returned as they got rust.

Is Costco selling oxo sets now?
