This can run all x86 applications, including what you have got twenty years ago. Surprised to me that it can not run x64 applications since calling convention and no use of x87 really ease the compiler's work, though this is on MS roadmap.
If you are business man or just run some light app, this should be enough. Otherwise just get a surface pro 6+ instead.

As a road warrior who can appreciate having a light PC that is always connected, I was excited for this... then realized its only 9 hrs battery life, has bugs and limited app compatibility. Given I only need a browser to do work this would have been perfect.

I guess I will wait to see if the model with more RAM becomes available and jump on that or else I'll just wait for a 5g LTE model next year.

Regardless this is a solid find since it includes the pen and keyboard. 👍

any other uses for this except for Photoshop?
I wouldn't recommend to anyone. It's mainly for media and light web browsing.

I wouldn't even pay $200 for that s**t, because you can't even run photoshop on it. The only pro is the display and battery life that's all. The softwares are really lacking on this one.
All in agreement say Aii: Aiiiiiii!

I have to agree, these are not tools for photo editing or art. An iPad Pro is always a better choice for these two user segments no matter how many hype or the seed reviews you see on Surface products. For school or business it is a versatile tool though.

Best to wait, prices will get better and ARM will be better supported on Windows.

Wouldnt dismiss this so quick at least you can run full office and database and always on lte. But 1100 is too much for this.
