So about Risk of Rain 2 or Slay the Spire (btw which is also on sale on Deal of the Day @ https://www.gamestop.com/deals/deal-of-the-day [gamestop.com] ) , how does it work when they are still technically in early access on PC and thus "incomplete" even when they really aren't and are already fully functional games?

Are they patched to essentially be the same thing or are they doomed to be outdated versions? If patched, how much do they lag behind PC, if at all?

Be aware that many game stops are closing. If you are buying these as gifts, GameStop will not take them back at a different store if the store you purchased from closed.

Is there a list of locations that will be closing?

I can't answer how risk of rain 2 compares to the pc version, but I have it for the switch and have been playing for a while.

I'll say I'm a person who usually wants a complete experience on disc - I don't mind patches and such, but things like spyro or the telltale games I simply won't purchase because I refuse to buy a download. I'm not obsessive over patches or game of the year editions tho.

So RoR2 isn't missing a ton in any obvious way. I believe there are game altering artifacts that say coming soon, but otherwise nothing is blatantly missing. Once in a while some obvious things could use some polishing, but I definitely don't feel the game is unplayable or lacking in any experience ruining manner.

And considering the physical copy includes the first risk of rain - which is one of my favorite indies - I'd say $20 is a super reasonable price. I just got the vinyl soundtrack for the first game and I absolutely love it, and I can count soundtracks I own on one hand.

Great price on astrobot. I just bought the digital version for like $15 last week which was the cheapest its ever been. $10 for physical is even better.
