Amazon has a 3 pack of 13-Ounce Carnation Malted Milk (Original) $5.58 for one-time delivery or $5.30 with 5+ S&S items.

These are usually almost $4 for one container.

This was a frontpage deal in October. I ordered some then and the "best by" date was over a year in the future, and this stuff will last well beyond that if you keep it dry.

Great if you don't use milk often. I use them when making bread which takes a small amount. Skim milk works too but have to use them quickly once you open the can.

I've had good luck storing it in a vacuum sealed Ball jar. As long as you can keep out moisture, it'll keep for a long time.

BTW, if you're making bread with this, you should try light unhopped diastatic malt powder from a homebrew supply store. It's 100% barley. The Carnation stuff is cut with wheat flour and milk powder, and it's not diastatic.

Can I use this as coffee creamer? What about in oatmeal? Trying to figure other ways to use it besides baking and shakes.

I just drank a malted chocolate coffee protein shake (delicious AF!) and it can be a pain to mix it, but I have to mix the protein powder anyway so it doesn't make much of a difference.
I haven't tried it in hot liquids as I use cold brew coffee, but I don't think its going to dissolve easily. I think it will clump up and get tacky

Very interesting. Reading up on it now but enough to want me to try something new. Thanks.

Not quite as sweet but, yes, that's the flavor base.
