If Santa didn't leave you a shiny new FT-DX101D under the treeDown, I guess you'll have to enter this contest daily for the next four months and hope to win.Pray

Q: The early FT-101 SSB Transceiver operates as how many watts SSB?

A: 260

Read carefully. They were asking about the early FT-101, not the new model.

Entry page https://www.gigaparts.net/sweepstakes/

By repeating the same questions over and over they make the contest too easy.Yawn Yawn.

Q On the FT-101E, did how many watts on AM?

A: 80 watts

Entry page https://www.gigaparts.net/sweepstakes/

Read carefully. They were asking about the old FT-101E, not the new model FT-DX101D.

The old FT-101E http://www.rigpix.com/yaesu/ft101e.htmAttachment 8777561 (click on thumbnail for bigger picture)

I think they may deliberately make they contest easy since the purpose of the contest is to drag you to their website daily and get you dreaming about owning a FT-DX101D. If they made the questions too hard you might become discouraged and drop out. Anyway, thinking up new questions and answers requires some thought and work and it's just easier for them to cut and paste from previous contests.

That's true. There's no point in winning something you can't legally use. However, it's not too hard to get a license. Search for an amateur radio club in your area to find people who can help you out with getting started.

Now we know.

Q: What was the last radio in the FT-101 Series?

A: FT-101F

Entry page https://www.gigaparts.net/sweepstakes/

The FT-101F was produced in 1977
The last radio in the FT-101 Series that came out in 1980 and produced until 1986 was the
FT-101ZD. but FT-101F is the answer they want.

The 1977 FT-101FX was the last type of the original 101 series.
The 1978 FT-101Z and the The 1980 FT-101ZD were a new design with the FT-101 name.

The question is a little tricky and depends on what they mean by FT-101 Series.
They are still asking questions about an old radio that only an few old timers remember.
