Nice deal on the new Sony Alpha a6600 at Adorama via urlhasbeenblocked with urlhasbeenblocked's current extra 10% promo for purchases over $750. 15% + 10% back nets out to around $900 if you value the urlhasbeenblocked Points as cash. Other vendors and bundles are also available with this promo.

https://www.urlhasbeenblocked.com/shop/ador...ISOA6600A/

Here's a bundle with the a6600 + Sony 18-135 lens [urlhasbeenblocked.com] for $1220ish after points.

ETA: Since the site is a bit confusing, I'm not able to actually confirm whether the promo works via Adorama so here is a similar combo deal with the a6600 + 18-135 lens via Focus Camera [urlhasbeenblocked.com] which IS listed in the Bonus Merchant section of the site. Doesn't include the clutter, just the camera and lens combo, but nets out to around $1200ish for both which is hot.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Are these points the same as their cash back or is that a separate entity? I shopped HP's online store through urlhasbeenblocked a while back and got a cash back deposit in my Paypal a couple months later.

Separate system. urlhasbeenblocked Super Points accumulate in your account and can be used for purchases on the site only. The cash back is actual cash back that can be cashed out.

Thanks! Guess I could still use those points to buy an extra battery or a lens or something.

I don't see the extra 10%. I only see the 15% in points. any specific steps to replicate this? I got the a6600 using the same 15% offer last month. I had to pay 1600, but got cashback points worth 240 making net 1360. The extra 10% is a sweet deal if it works..

There are some other threads with more detail about how the promo works but basically Dec 27-30 you get an extra 10% in urlhasbeenblocked Points for spending a *cumulative* amount over $750 via the listed stores. So they don't calculate or credit the extra 10% until after the 30th. Also, those bonus points expire within a few months if not used.

I recently purchased the Sigma trio (16mm, 30mm and 56mm) for my a6400. They're awesome lenses. I'm also using my Canon 70-200mm with the Sigma MC11 adapter, which works great.

Since none of Sigma lenses has optical stabilization, and neither my 6400, this deal on the 6600 looks attractive with its built-in OSS. The downside would be I already have a couple of extra Sony W batteries and a stand-alone Sony charger that would not be useful to me. Plus, I'll have to sell the 6400 body.

Hmmm... Decisions, decisions.

Same! Got this, and listed my a6400 for sale locally. The Sigma lenses are superb, and this adds stabilization to them.

I highly recommend also considering the 18-135 for any a6xxx body. Great compact versatile lens with OSS. Basically free with this combo deal. I paid $500 for mine and no regrets.

If you really wanna go nuts put the 10-18 on the shopping list as well. That's the one I picked up with my urlhasbeenblocked points from my 16-55 purchase.

The a6600 has no built-in flash (the only a6xxx without it) if that matters to those using fill flash for people, animals etc.

Not a same class, M6MII rather competes with A6400. If the price is not objection I would go with a6600 or if I had to compromise I'd go with a6400, this is all assuming you are not already invested in canon EF(-S) glass, otherwise there is more glass for sony at this time from sony and sigma.... M6MII does have higher resolution sensor, but that is in my opinion that is inconsequential as there is no sharp enough glass available for this sensor at this time and most will not use this camera to produce large poster prints that would benefit from higher resolution....

Instead of spending $1598 on a6600 with a lens, wouldn't you rather get a7iii at this point? You get the full frame capability and ability to use e-mount apsc lenses on it of you have them from before?

Just thinking out loud. Any suggestions are welcome. I am confused between a7iii or a6600. I mainly shoot landscape and protraits but getting into videography too now.
