There's enough time after Christmas.
Firstly, I'm a video game amateur. My significant other and I have played both and we prefer the second one because of one new feature: the ability to throw items. This presents new challenges of its own, but does add a bit more to the game.
The two games are similar in general; most people seem to think Overcooked SE is harder than Overcooked 2. Overcooked 2 is the sequel to Overcooked SE.
If you think you'll ever only buy one of the two, I think Overcooked 2 is the better option. However, if you think you may end up getting both, I suggest playing the first one before the second one because otherwise, it'll feel like a step back. After playing some Overcooked SE and trying out Overcooked 2, I have a hard time going back to playing Overcooked SE.
I hope this helps,
Tofu Vic

This is great, thank you for posting! I have been eyeing Mario + Rabbids, and it has been on sale, but only physical. Trying to stay digital for my Switch, so very glad I didn't bite on the deals lately.
Just a reminder that people with a Costco membership can get a $50 Nintendo eShop GC for $45, which is 10% off.
I bought a bunch and actually have too many... lol. I think I'm out of Switch games to buy for now so I'm trying to sell the Nintendo GCs to friends after telling them about this deal.
Never played overcooked before..but heard lots of positive feedback .. could someone please enlighten me the difference between overcooked special edition Vs overcooked 2.

They're both great. The first one seems more balanced, fair but challenging. The second one is super easy until you beat the game and unlock NG+, which gives you the option of going for 4 stars. But those stars are incredibly difficult to get, even more so than 3 starring levels in Overcooked 1.
I say go Overcooked 1 first, then get 2 if you enjoy that one.
Dang it... just bought the Mario + Rabbids (physical) base edition from Best Buy for $19.99. I think I'll return it and get the digital gold edition instead.

Nintendo switch newbie here, just got it 2 days ago. What games would you recommend from that list?
