Now, is the Klipsch the best at this price point? That's a different question and one I can't answer but if you can afford it and have a large enough room (anything bigger than 10x12 Id say) and can afford it, I'd consider the upgrade.

Thanks. Are you saying it's with the upgrade to this R-100SW or the 12HG you have? I do have a large room, open floor plan living/dining/kitchen with brick walls and high concrete ceiling. I don't need to blow out my windows but looking to improve overall quality.

But again, as to whether or not this is the best sub around the $200 range, I can't say. I paid $200 for my Sub-12 3.5 years ago and spec wise, the Sub-12 is better I think (12" woofer, 300 watts RMS, goes down to 24hz) but the 100SW is the reference line vs the Sub-12 is the Synergy (which I think is their lowest end model. I'm running Klipsch Reference front floorstanding speakers + center (surrounds are Energy Take 5s) and I honestly think the resonance with matching speakers is nice.
It seems like the 100SW hit $140 back in July so this price doesn't seem all that great.
I'm no audiophile or anything so I'm sure someone can completely rip apart what I've said with more detailed specs and offer better recommendations, but I'd just like to think I enjoy reasonably good sound without spending a lot of money.
Edit: NVM, that's no deal at all. Cant even add to cart.
