Lenovo Thinkpad Workstation Dock 230W US (40A50230US)
My first deal please be kind!
List price $299.99 on sale for only $20.00. Note that this is the 230W dock NOT the 90W dock recently listed on SD. It's worth buying for the 230W AC adapter alone which sells for around $90 on Amazon!
- 6x USB 3.0, one supports always-on USB charging.
- 2x DisplayPort 1.2, 1x DVI-D, 1x HDMI 1.4, 1x VGA.
- 10/1000 Gigabit Ethernet, supports enterprise manageability. 1x Stereo/Mic Combo Audio Port.
- What's in the Box: ThinkPad Workstation dock; ThinkPad 230W AC adapter; Power cord; Publications.
- This docking station is compatible with Lenovo Thinkpad P50, P51, P70, and P71 models only. Not compatible with P50S, P51S, P70S, or P71S. See description for complete compatibility information.
I have a Lenovo P71 workstation laptop, and I jumped on this deal and am using it. It was over $100 in the summer, and I couldn't believe it was this price. I have recently seen Ebay prices for around $27.

I hope the 2 display ports are good for my 5k monitor
Docking stations generally use proprietary connectors, and they often are the same within the same product line of the same generation.
The listed one here should work with all the current gen of lenovo mobile workstation series. (P-something-without-S).
May work with other current gen ThinkPad conventional models (T-series, X-series without special suffix), but you would need to go through the official support pages, amazon reviews, some discussion boards for exact compatibility
If you are referring to non-ThinkPads even within Lenovo brand, don't even bother trying. It's not gonna work.
Thanks OP.

Yes, was thinking to use with yoga. Thanks . Not buying now
I used to use W520 and T430s, which share the same dock.
Later on i moved on to P50, which certainly use a different dock (and a different connector)
X1C6 does not even support conventional docks, as it has no connecter at the bottom of the body. (it's very noticeable, usually a big area with spring-loaded cover, pushing which exposes the connector with like a hundred pins/contacts)
I personally used a HP Thunderbolt 3 dock with my Lenovo P50 for sometime, which i got from eBay used for less than $30, paired with a compatible charger also from eBay for about $10. It had some glitches when i first got it, but they are resolved after updating the firmware from HP support website.
(My P50 does not support thunderbolt 3 charging, but my families' razer and HP spectre do take that dock for also charging. I even used it to fast charge my pixel phones when not using computer)
