TTL is arguably actually more important to a non-professional. It basically is the "auto-pilot" feature that the flash and camera use to calculate how much light the flash should output given the lighting environment. So if you have non-TTL, you will need to have enough know how to set the flash manually.

The good news is you can find an off brand TTL flash for your camera for -$40-60, so not much more. I would highly recommend doing this. I have Altura flashes and they're great for the price. Neewer is also another awesome brand, despite some on this thread thinking it's shill-y.
And does a lot more.
This is a manual flash, no TTL, and is $25.99 on Amazon if you search it. Not the $39.99 claimed in the OP.
I seriously admire all that Neewer does at best to provide us with adequate, current technology, at a fraction of OEM cost, on a daily basis. Anytime I bought a Neewer, "IT WAS A DEAL", day or night, sale or daily price.

Also if you promote a particular seller, at least be enough courteous to use the real name, when all you do is clear.

I got another one of these nice flashes right now.
After all, there is nothing like enough flash. Thanks, OP for the good post and repped.

Fantastic deal for a good flash. Bought one in 2015, and it works well when I need some power. For smaller venues I prefer a TTL flash. So just keep in mind that this one is manual, and requires a bit of fiddling to get perfect exposure.

I'd recommend a light meter before fiddling but that's just my opinion. Great flash, great deal.

I don't understand why people here are being negative to this user. He made a valid point. He wasn't criticizing Neewer at all. They are featured often in SD.

It's a shame this flash isn't compatible with the older Sony Alphas (e.g. the A200) as I'd love to snap this one up!

This is a rebranded godox tt560 right? Might pick one up as a second flash if it works with my godox wireless trigger

Really amateur question. It says "Don't support TTL and the camera menu setting Function" How does that matter for somebody like me who intend to use it for non commercial family photography. Thanks in advance.

No, it is not.

This flash can only be triggered off camera via another flash. It works fine for that purpose.

This flash is fine as a starter if you use your camera on full manual. If you use your camera on auto, it'll blow out your images because the camera doesn't know how much light the flash is going to add. A TTL flash will communicate with the camera and let you continue to use auto if that's how you like to shoot.

(There may be ways around that, but my dad just gave me this exact flash because it was blowing out the pictures on his t2i because he likes to shoot on full auto).

So this has a built-in optical slave?
