I'm sure a lot of that happened in Rome, but bathing wasn't a particularly big thing back then and no antibiotics so...
However, Spartacus and his compadres did in fact live, did escape slavery and most of the places and battles actually happened. Of course highly dramatized. The only piece that didn't happen was Caesars role in it. He lived at the time, but he wasn't part of the attack on the escaped slaves. There actually was a ludus in Capua run by Batiatus, the slaves in the show were trained there and escaped, and the main characters all did fight against Rome although more to maintain their freedom than trying to overthrow the Roman government. Their defeated enemies were real and the battles were very close to what actually happened.
Not many movies. I went through the movies in about a week and then nothing else to watch. So waste of money. Just do the 7 day free trial instead. You won't need 6 months.
Thanks two things.
First,I checked Amazon subscription and cancelled it just now, it due to extend in few days.
Second, got this offer and used PayPal to got 6 months.
I loved Spartacus. One of my fav series. (didnt watch GoT yet). I watched the whole series on Netflix a couple of yrs ago.
season 1 and 2, awesome, loved it. I thought Season 2 was really clever to tie up the loose end.
then continue to watch season 3, ep 1, I was like WTF, who was that guy, why in the freaking hell spartacus changed. I was mad, who the F would change an actor, until I found out the original guy was dead. The feeling was ....wierd till the end of the series. Still loved the series and bought them for $10 from MS a while back.
oh, the female actresses were beautiful, my two fav were Spartacus' wife, and the slave girl got rescued from the last season.
Ahh, thanks for reading, I wanted to share my 2 cents for a long time, finally did. : )

For movies they should be slightly ahead of Showtime. Showtime just got Green Book but other than that it's mainly so-so movies from CBS Films and STX entertainment. Whenever their is a preview weekend their isn't a whole to watch. At least with Starz you get movies like Jumanji and Venom.
Somehow I have $0.99/month for 3 months already on my account, I forgot what I did. I know, super helpful I am.
Edited: oh I know how iI can help, check out Dublin murders, I watched it and liked it even though it probably wasn't that great per critics. But for some reason I kept wanting to watch it.

Agreed. I think at some point soon people are going to experience content overload and begin canceling a lot of the streaming and subscription services. It's just becoming too much.

The character Naevia also quit after the first season and was replaced. Which is fine, the original actress probably wouldn't have come off the way she did in subsequent series.
