Bed Bath & Beyond is selling a Zwilling J.A. Henckels 5 Star 8-Piece Knife Block Set for $139.99. (Edit: If it is showing a higher price, try refreshing the page.) Seems like a really good price to me, this is one of the higher quality lines and normally goes for much more.
You may also be able to use a 20% off single item coupon on this, YMMV on that though. Bed Bath & Beyond had emailed me an offer that I was able to use on this, even though most of those coupons seem to list this brand as an exclusion. You can also get this cheaper if you are a Beyond+ member.

I'm also currently backordered on cabelas deal a few days ago. https://slickdeals.net/f/13766480-w-sthof-gourmet-12-piece-kitchen-knife-block-set-cabela-s-99-97-fr...
Assuming both ship, which would be better to keep?

I almost bought the knives from the Cabela's deal myself, but I missed out on it. I personally think this one is better though mostly because they are forged knives rather than the stamped ones from the Cabela's deal. Those Wusthof knives from the Cabela's deal are good quality blades, but for me I really wanted something that was forged and has the full tang if possible. Also from what I have read, apparently the Wusthof knives might be able to hold a little bit of a sharper edge, but are not quite as durable as these Zwilling knives. I also like that the Zwilling knives have a bolster. I guess it really depends on what you are looking for.
Here is one site I found that compares those brands to each other in more detail: https://prudentreviews.

I almost got the Cabelas deal as well although I'm glad I held out for this deal. Like Findinfossils said, the forged blade along with a full tang make for a better knife. Plus, some have said that if your Cabelas knives end up getting cancelled you might end up with a Cabelas gift card instead.....although I cannot speak from experience on the GC.
I would put Wusthof on one tier higher in terms of overall quality of knives vs Zwilling....but like others have said in the comments in the Cabelas deal....the gourmet line of Wusthof is not par to this 5 star line of Zwilling knives. One might also feel that the Wusthof classic line is a notch better than this 5 star line. A lot to be debated.
I'm ok saying I'm glad I went with the Zwilling set.

Personally, you could not pay me to use a knife with a bolster, but I suspect that the Zwilling knives are better quality here.
I wouldn't worry about stamped vs forged in relation to steel quality. This mattered before we had well refined steel stock. Now that we do, there is no difference in purity of steel, and the edge likely goes to stamped from a distribution or molecules within the steel standpoint. You can find either made well or made poorly. Stamped steel tends to be thinner to make it easier to work with, but that is not a hard and fast rule, and a thin knife is not a bad knife. A great example of a quality stamped thick blade is the Fibrox Victorinox knives which are almost certainly better than both of these options.
I think it is unlikely that most users would find much difference in the two steels here. I don't know which way it would tip as I haven't used either of these.

I wasn't sure at first if you had to sign up for the emails in store, but I believe you should be able to do it online at that link I found.
