Most of the time it's cheaper to get the $7.99 deal. I just built a test pizza with 50% off and it came to $9.82 with tax whereas the other way came to $9.62 with tax. I didn't realize how close they would be, but they're both large, 3 topping pan pizzas. What's funny is that for the 50% off deal, you can get pan or stuffed crust for half of what it usually is (50ยข for pan, $1 for stuffed at my Pizza Hut), but they still charge full price for extra cheese. look around However, this would probably be a great deal if you got more than 3 toppings.
Just came here to post this. Works good and is reusable.

Note that we usually use this on the $10 box meal. For some reason, this is the only non-pizza item this works on. You get a pizza, breadsticks, cinnamon sticks for $5 plus tax.

Box meal only comes up as a separate deal item and it's $16 in SoCal. When I apply coupon code in cart it takes me directly to build a pizza or choose a specialty.

Any other deals going on now? Wanna get the big dinner box. Even 15% off would be helpful.

Try to add the box, then add the code at checkout. Note this only works (YMMV near me anwyays) for the small box (not the large one with the wings and 2 pizzas).

Every single pizza hut near me closed up in the last two months. Strange that 5 shops shutdown all at once.

I really really tried to give Pizza Hut another chance recently. Their pasta was the only edible thing, I really cannot comprehend how they are still alive.
I live 30 miles from town, so I don't eat out much, don't take much time to stop when I'm in town, produce most of my own food, but this isn't a bad deal.

Now my off topic rant about Pizza Hut, that I dislike other people doing in other posts, like the post I quoted (because people have different tastes and opinions is how it was in business).... It has been one of the couple "restaurants" in town, along with Mcdonald's my entire life, plus a couple locally owned mom 'n pops. I looked forward to the "Book it" program when I was a kid. Probably stopped in once a year or so since then. Buffet was about the same price as a combo meal. And the Pizza there was "good".

Fast forward to last month. The manager there, lady I know, had worked there -29- years. She posted on the local Fb group, she had found out an hour before, that she had worked her last day. Pizza Hut closed the store. No notice to find another job or anything. They mentioned they were closing many stores months ago, but never said anything. They did the same thing in the next town over, 30 miles in another direction, a couple years ago. It's now 70 miles to a Pizza Hut.

I guess they are focusing on delivery and carry out, which was a very, very small part of their business here. Small town, they didn't even offer delivery, just carry out. Most people pick up "carry out" at the gas station, which has actual award winning pizza, I guess. Pizza Hut was for sit down meals.

Pizza Ranch has a better buffet though in my opinion, more other food, been in there twice, also 70 miles away like most stores. More expensive, they now force bundle the $2 drink, used to let you just get water and not charge for a drink. Now they do whether you want it or not.
