I'm having trouble understanding how people are comparing other LED's (850 and 950) to the A8G OLED.
A8G = OLED
Z9F = LED
There is no comparison to the darkness levels of the OLED, period. How one could say an LED compares to an OLED is incomprehensible. Sure, there may be other factors that may affect your decision; however, when it comes to accurate representation of colors and black levels, look no further than OLED (especially Sony OLEDs imho).
The OLED anyday. No LED can match the contrast level and specular highlights of an OLED>
"QLED" is just plain ol' LED man. Get an OLED from LG or Sony.

C9 wins in most categories especially in a dark environment. OLEDs are the superior technology but they're priced higher (usually) and some people are afraid if burn in which, while possible, is extremely unlikely unless you watch the same channel/show/game everyday for 5-10 hours per day. Otherwise it most likely won't show up until 5+ years down the road
I was mentioning two things in the one post. My bad. When comparing the "Master Series" LED @ 2300 vs the 950g @ 2000 didnt seem like much of a deal.
But the 65" A8 OLED compared to the 85" 950g arguement hold almost as true. The 950 is a 2019 model while the A8 is 2018. The remote is older and maddening to operate. And with the risk of burn in i'm not sure i'd pay the extra 300 bucks.
Again... just my opinion. but i'm in love with the 950g and how it plays in my media room.

Um, isn't the 950g an LED tv? Not the same thing A8g or A9g OLED TV's. Am I missing something?

Also - this scores fairly close to the 950g albeit a little higher in some categories. Altho in some other 950g actually beats it.
Sony has been discounting TV's lately man.
950g all day per spec and cost differential
(add in the risk of burn in too)
