    Yeah, these Anker pads are fairly picky with device placement. I'd go with a stand -- stands at least guide one dimension so it's hard to miss the charging area.

    Are there any wireless chargers that work for iPhone from the front of the phone? My wife has a pop socket on her 11 she doesn't want to get rid of.

    No, the coils are only a few mm from the back of the phone.

    Even if it could work, you won't charge fast enough to justify it.

    Get your wife a case with a built in socket and call it a day.

    Counter opinion here, the stands are very picky if you have a case like an otterbox. These let me place where it needs to go.my models with stands it doesn't seem as effective

    I only recently started using one of these chargers, and having done so, I now fully understand the comment that keeps popping up saying, "Get the stand. You'll thank me later."

    It takes me longer to place the phone in exactly the right place and confirm it is charging that I often just plug the darn thing in. It charges faster that way anyway,

    Get a stand.
