The price increased from $49.99 a year to $59.99 a year about 18-24 months ago.
This is cheaper than the monthly and/or 3 month subscriptions.
PS+ are for those gamers who play online games, and want discounts on games and the 2 free games per month.
That Amazon Deal for $24.99 for a price error and if you go in on it, count your blessings. Most of us would be shocked if that ever came back. Many people reported their order was cancelled and not filled.
So, where doe this leave us? Any price below $59.99 is a "deal". From August to December 2019 places have been selling them from $34.99-$39.99. So, anything in this range appears to be a good deal and at least $20 off MSRP.
This is the pricepoint where I grab an extra year or 2 for the house playstation.
Who know if the price will increase when the PS5 launches this fall/winter? Or if PS5 content will be "extra"?
But, to think that $25 was naything other than a price mistake and that is the new "standard" is a bit odd. At least to me.

the lowest I have seen it is $35.66 from Cd keys, every other retalier sells it for $39.99 since they increased the MSRP to $59.99, so my guess is , it won't be any lower than that
Lowest I've seen it get to was $35; and that's usually around BF/CM time. It's been ages since I've seen it hit below that.
