That said, this one disappoints in a few levels:
1- They sound tiny. Bass is non existent, only transients from higher frequencies can be heard.
2- they won't stay on my head. Never had a problem with this before, but every movement runs the risk of them dropping.
3- the tech side doesn't work reliably. It is supposed to pause when you take them off, it does it about 50% of the time, which actually makes the whole process less practical.

According to their listing, they dont have ANC. They are closed headphones though (decent natural seal) and the ambient aware is probably a microphone being piped into the audio at whatever volume you want.
There is no active noise cancelling, only passive from the earcups. The ambient aware only activates the microphones and passes your surrounding sounds through the earcups. Amazon's comparison chart is pretty clear.
