I ordered it when it came live again, and now just canceled it myself. While I love the look of dovetails, I have to balance the time I want to spend creating boxes vs getting the project done. So no dove tail. Will just use my domino

This is the lowest price on CCC by about $20 (the same sale price occurred a couple sporadic times after Christmas). I wish that I had an upcoming project that would use this. This has great reviews and might be the best in its class. Thanks!

I have a router table. Will I regret this down the line when I learn there is a jig for a router table? I'm sure there are. Woodworkers, please shed some light!

Also, can you use compact routers with this porter cable jig?

Short answer is no, don't use compact routers with this. The included bits are 1/2" shank which compact ones don't support. Also you need to use a guide bushing and I'm not sure if any compact routers support those. Regardless, it'd be pretty hard on them hogging out repeated dovetails.

You can use it with any router with a base that will hold the template guides and a collett that will hold 1/2" bits. I use a Milwaukee router. Well made and built to last. Nice find

There are numerous dovetail jigs available, but this is the standard one recommended by most woodworkers and there are a ton of videos on YouTube for it. There are also a couple of really good ones available to use with a router table, but those run around $400.
